The WL Lions have had a busy couple of months planning for the new Lions year which starts in July. Membership Lion John, our Membership Chair, is busy working on several ideas in this area. Being a small Club, we are aware that the old saying "many hands make light work" is oh so true. Fundraisers We cannot provide the services to our community if we cannot fund them. We spent a good deal of time planning our upcoming fundrasiers. In the works... Duck Race, Bean Bag Tournament, and Flower Sale. Activities We work hard as Lions but we want to have a bit of fun too! District Bowling Tournament, Club Christmas Party and Charter Night Dinners are in being talked about. Projects As Lions we want to be involved in the community. We have discussed Peace Poster Contest and an Essay Contest for Harrison and Greenwood schools. Tree planting, Diabetes Awarness and Walk for Sight are also planned. |

The Wonder Lake Lions Club was chartered on March 12, 1981. We have proudly served the Wonder Lake community. Our sponsoring club is our neighbor to the north, the Richmond Lions Club, and they remain our good friends and fellow Lions. We're a small club, numbering under 20, but wouldn't mind a few more members. You have probably seen us on the street corners in October collecting for Candy Day or selling water at the Fourth of July parade. Perhaps you have helped our club by buying a ticket or two for our Annual Duck Race or maybe you even bought a Sight & Sound Raffle book. If you have helped us, we would like to say "THANK YOU". Your support allows us to help those in need! |
